Breakfast and Lunch at the Blue Pineapple Enjoy breakfast at the Blue Pineapple on Cooks Bay where the delightful Virginia and Tiare will greet you and seat you. The fruit plate is colossal, omelettes are wonderful, plus don't miss our pancakes, croissants, fresh French breads, juices and wonderful coffee. Jay, one of the Bali Hai Boys, is usually there to tell you about the island and what's going on. For lunch, don't miss the local delicacy poisson cru (which is fresh tuna sashimi marinated in cocoanut milk), plus the salads, super burgers (either regular, cheese, or teriyaki) and lagoon burgers must be tried. Activities
There are always new things to do at Club Bali Hai. The Activities Center in the lobby will keep you up on what's going on each day. Here's just a sampling of what's happening:

Get a glimpse of Moorea's submarine world and explore the depths of the electric blue water of the "temae" lagoon on the Glass Bottom Boat Tour. Discover brilliantly colored tropical fish and coral gardens as you cruise to meet "Sally." Sally, a seven foot baracuda and recent addition to the tour, sometimes makes an appearance. The Tahitian diver feeds her and pets her ... it's an astonishing sight!

The Dolphin Watch Excursion is where you can experience the thrill of swimming with the dolphins ... but for their safety and protection, you'll do it from the boat! Dr. Michael Poole, the Director of the Marine Mammal Research Program, will host this four hour tour where you'll get to know the friendly and playful spinner dolphins he studies. Don't forget to bring your camera!
Outriggers are available !

Other Activities and traveler's tips

Don't miss shopping at the Club Boutique - Best prices! Visa, Master Card and American Express accepted.

There are now kayaks avaibable at the Club. They rent for a very small fee and, best of all, we have found they are very hard to capsize! Check the wind in the morning - if it's calm and you're in the mood, see the front desk for a kayak.

The best snorkeling equipment at the lowest prices is in the USA. Guests are encouraged to bring their own equipment as well as reef runner shoes.

This just in! Snorkeling pass - 3 days a week: Saturday, Monday & Thursday from 1.30-3pm. Special package rate available for the 3 days. Masks and snorkels are provided. Book with the activity desk in the lobby. Boat takes you to one of the best snorkeling spots in the area.

New!! The legendary "Liki Tiki", sunset cruise Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 4.30PM.

When you rent a car to see your favorite places on the island, check with Avis in the Club lobby. They have specials for Club members and guests. It is recommended that you rent a car for two or three days during your stay so you can make sure to see everything the island has to offer. Avis now has bicycles for rent as well. Here are some recommendations for when you have your rental car:

  • The new Sheraton Hotel is a 10 minute drive away from the Club. They have a beautiful white sand beach and luncheon is available. For dinner show schedules, inquire at their front desk.
  • The Beachcomber Intercontinental Hotel has impressive gardens that greet you on the way in. They also have a beautiful beach and luncheon available. For dinner show schedules, inquire at their front desk.
  • Check some of our favorite restaurants ... some of them are only convenient when you have a car of your own.

Magasin Are, the supermarket at the head of Cook's' Bay deserves a mention as they have enlarged their store and increased their stocks. They offer fresh fruits and a large supply of US frozen goods. Note that selling alcohol is prohibited in the markets on Sundays.
